BIOGRAPHY
Alastair has played an integral role as the Owner and Director of The Supreme Court since its inception in 2014. In this capacity, he assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of both The Supreme Court Toronto and The Supreme Court Sierra Vista. Simultaneously, he leads The Supreme Court’s Performance Junior Programming.
Distinguished as one of only twenty-five “Tennis Canada Club Professional 3” coaches nationwide, Alastair also holds the distinction of being a “Tennis Canada Coach 3.” He possesses certification as a Tennis Professional from the United States Professional Tennis Registry, demonstrating his expertise in the field. His certifications further extend to Wheelchair Tennis and Cardio Tennis.
Alastair’s coaching prowess is underscored by his remarkable achievements. He has played a pivotal role in nurturing talent, producing U12 Provincial Champions, U16 Provincial Champions, U18 Provincial Champions, and U18 National Champions. Under Alastair’s expert guidance, aspiring athletes have achieved remarkable milestones, including securing coveted positions on Canada’s Junior Davis Cup Team. His coaching has helped propelled players into the top 100 of the International Junior Rankings. Notably, these athletes have also celebrated victories over their peers who hold esteemed positions in the top 10 of the global junior tennis rankings. Alastair’s experience also extends to touring with ITF and WTA ranked players, and he proudly coached alongside Ben Armstrong to secure the 2015 Parapan Am Games Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Bronze Medalist, Joel Dembe.
In the tennis community, Alastair assumes pivotal roles that reflect his commitment to the sport’s growth and development. Currently, he serves as a Course Facilitator for Tennis Canada’s Club Professional 2 Course, playing an essential role in guiding the on and off-court development of Canada’s emerging coaches, contributing to the nurturing of the nation’s future coaching talent. Furthermore, Alastair’s dedication extended to a part-time role as an employee of Tennis Canada’s Junior National Training Centre Program in Toronto, between September 2018 to September 2020. During his tenure, Alastair’s exceptional contributions to training and producing Canadian national champions were duly recognized, culminating in his receipt of Tennis Canada’s prestigious Coaching Excellence Award in 2019.
In addition to his roles at The Supreme Court, Alastair currently holds the position of President of the historic Toronto Men’s Tennis League. His extensive work history includes serving as the Head Tennis Professional at the OTA award-winning Davisville Tennis Club from 2010 to 2017, as well as holding the role of Program Director at Lawrence Park Tennis Club from 2017 to 2019. He has also contributed his expertise as a Progressive Program Director at Advantage Tennis International from 2013 to 2017 and has coached at various esteemed institutions, including Kew Gardens Tennis Club, Wanaka Tennis Club in New Zealand, The Boulevard Club, Toronto Tennis Academy, and North York Tennis Association
